Working in partnership with a leading manufacturer in Beverley, we are recruiting reliable and hardworking General Operatives. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business offering a competitive pay rate of £12.71 per hour, regular working hours, and the opportunity to secure long-term employment.
Shift Pattern / Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 3:00pm
- Friday: 6:00am - 12:00pm
- Early finish every Friday
Start Date / Duration
The General Operative role is a Temp to Perm position with immediate starts available. However, should you have a notice period with your current employer, we will work around this. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and expanding manufacturing business with long-term career prospects.
Job Description
As a General Operative, you will play an important role within the production team, supporting the manufacture and preparation of high-quality products. Day-to-day duties will include:
- Assisting with the production and assembly of products.
- Loading and unloading raw materials such as MDF and timber products.
- Operating machinery and equipment following training.
- Quality checking finished products to ensure company standards are met.
- Packing, labelling, and preparing products for dispatch.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Following all Health & Safety procedures.
- Supporting other production and warehouse functions as required.
The Successful Candidate
To be considered for the position of General Operative, we are looking for candidates who:
- Have previous experience working within a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment.
- Are hardworking and reliable with excellent timekeeping.
- Have a strong attention to detail.
- Can work effectively as part of a team.
- Are able to follow instructions and work to production targets.
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Experience within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be provided.
