We're recruiting on behalf of a leading international shipping and logistics company for full-time Port Service Operatives based in Belfast. You'll be joining a professional team responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of freight and passenger vehicles through one of the UK's busiest ports.
Whether you come from a driving background in farming, transport, construction, or logistics (full training will be provided), so if you've got the right attitude and are ready to learn, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Operate Tugmasters (full training provided) to transfer trailers on and off vessels
- Assist with mooring duties and support vessel loading/unloading
- Marshal freight and passenger vehicles for embarkation and disembarkation
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and order across the port area
- Follow clearly structured operational and safety procedures
- Work as part of a close-knit team in a fast-moving environment
What We're Looking For
We're looking for practical, safety-conscious individuals who are reliable and willing to learn. You must be comfortable working outdoors and in an operational environment with large vehicles and heavy equipment. Full training will be provided, but experience operating any of the following is essential:
- HGVs (Class 1 or 2)
- Agricultural tractors
- Buses, coaches
- Tugmasters
- Shunter driving
Requirements
- A full, clean UK driving licence
- Aged 21 or over (due to vehicle insurance requirements)
- Able to follow safety procedures and work within structured systems
- Live within commuting distance of Belfast
- Good team player with strong communication skills
