Join a Growing Manufacturing Team. Stafforce are recruiting experienced Machine Operators for our client based in Barnsley. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a production or manufacturing background who enjoy working in a hands-on environment and are confident operating machinery. You’ll become part of a supportive team where full training is provided, with opportunities to expand your skills and develop your career within manufacturing.
The Role
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of machinery, including sewing machines, while supporting the wider production team to ensure products are manufactured efficiently and to high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating machinery, including sewing machines, safely and efficiently
- Setting up, adjusting and monitoring machines during production runs
- Carrying out general production and manufacturing duties as required
- Performing quality inspections to ensure products meet required standards
- Following company procedures and health & safety guidelines at all times
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Supporting colleagues and contributing to a productive team environment
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Previous experience working within a production, manufacturing, or industrial environment
- Experience operating machinery within a manufacturing setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work well as part of a team
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new processes
Desirable
- Full UK Driving Licence
- FLT (Forklift Truck) Licence or previous FLT experience
- Willingness to undertake further training and gain additional certifications
