Overview: Our Client based in Bromborough England provides a comprehensive manufacturing service for composite products in advanced engineering applications, including components and assemblies for aircraft structures and systems. With a strong pedigree in manufacturing for the aerospace industry since the 1940's, they undertake the manufacture and supply of composite detail components through to complete sub-assemblies or kits of parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, reports, and reconciliations.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes across various business units.
- Perform cost analysis and assist with pricing models for defence and aerospace contracts.
- Work on project accounting, monitoring financial performance against key contracts.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing relevant financial documentation.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, defence industry standards, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Procurement, and Programme Management.
- Use financial systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms) to process transactions and generate reports.
Education & Qualifications:
- 2:1 or above (expected or obtained) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English - Grade B/6 or above.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial modelling or analysis is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Desirable:
- Previous internship or placement year in a finance-related role.
