Position: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Lincoln

Salary: £17.00/hour + overtime (£25.55/hour)

Hours of Work: 39 hours per week Mon-Thurs, 07:00-16:00 (8 hours basic + 1 hour overtime), Fri 07:00-14:00 (7 hours basic + 2 hours overtime)

Nicholas Associates have an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join an established client based in Lincoln.

You will be responsible for:

  • General maintenance, welding, servicing, repair, and upkeep of machinery, vehicles, and estate infrastructure to ensure maximum operational efficiency and minimal downtime.
  • Working both in the workshop and in the field to keep equipment running safely and reliably.
  • Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and carrying out scheduled servicing on plant and machinery.
  • Troubleshooting and fixing machinery faults in the field, often working under pressure during peak seasons.
  • Mechanical and Electrical fault diagnosis.
  • Infrastructure Maintenance, including estate buildings.

You will have:

  • Proven experience in repairing agricultural machinery, heavy plant, or similar equipment.
  • Competence in using diagnostic software.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Additional Information:

  • Sunday/Bank holidays = double time.
  • Bank Holidays worked = day off in lieu or + 8 hours single time paid on top of worked hours.
  • Weekend work may be needed depending on the needs of the factory/maintenance department.
  • Hours need to be flexible depending on maintenance works scheduled and breakdowns.
  • Training courses provided to meet the requirements of company health and safety policy which will need to be attended.
  • Death in service benefit + 2.5 times salary (after trial period).
  • Holidays + 25 days + Bank Holidays.
  • Pension = auto enrolled after 3 months service, employee to contribute approx.
