Position: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Lincoln
Salary: £17.00/hour + overtime (£25.55/hour)
Hours of Work: 39 hours per week Mon-Thurs, 07:00-16:00 (8x hours basic + 1 hour overtime), Fri 07:00-14:00 (7x hours basic + 2 hours overtime)
Nicholas Associates have an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join an established client based in Lincoln. You will be responsible for general maintenance, welding, servicing, repair, and upkeep of machinery, vehicles, and estate infrastructure to ensure maximum operational efficiency and minimal downtime, working both in the workshop and in the field to keep equipment running safely and reliably. The work is diverse and you will often be outdoors, in varying weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preventative Maintenance (PPM) & carrying out scheduled servicing on plant & machinery.
- Troubleshooting and fixing machinery faults in the field, often working under pressure during peak seasons.
- Mechanical & Electrical fault diagnosis.
- Experience of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Infrastructure Maintenance, including estate buildings.
Essential Skills:
- You will have proven experience in repairing agricultural machinery, heavy plant, or similar equipment.
- Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and diesel engines.
- Competence in using diagnostic software.
- A full UK driving licence.
Additional Information:
- Sunday/Bank holidays = double time
- Bank Holidays worked = day off in lieu or + 8 x hours single time paid on top of worked hours
- Weekend work may be needed depending on needs of factory/maintenance department.
- Hours need to be flexible depending on maintenance works scheduled and breakdowns.
- Training courses provided to meet the requirements of company health and safety policy which will need to be attended.
Benefits:
- Death in service benefit + 2.5 times salary (after trial period)
- Holidays + 25 days + Bank Holidays
- Pension = auto enrolled after 3 months service employee to contribute approx. 4%, employer to contribute 3%
