Nicholas Associates have an excellent opportunity for a Production Planner to join an established manufacturing client, based in the Barnsley area. You will be responsible for optimising production processes by efficiently coordinating manufacturing activities, ensuring a seamless operation of manufacturing processes, optimal resource utilisation and timely delivery of products.
You will coordinate production schedules, manage inventory, collaborate with cross-functional teams to efficiently meet production goals, create schedules, assist with demand forecasting & monitor stock levels to prevent shortage or excess.
Our client has a consistent order book & pipeline & they are seeking to improve on-time delivery to maximise work coming in from their existing customer base. There is an element of buying to the role, placing orders with suppliers.
You will ideally be proficient with Factory Master, particularly Orchestrate, but experience with any MRP / ERP system also will be considered & you will have a background in engineering, manufacturing, welding or fabrication.
