We are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder to work on Backshift in the fabrication department.
Job details:
- 3.00pm – 1.15am Monday to Thursday
- Rate £16.14/HR
- Overtime £18.15/HR
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Analyses engineering drawings and specifications to determine appropriate welding equipment, settings and methodology to manufacture products from a range of materials.
- Apply knowledge of welding techniques and processes to configure equipment to weld components in flat or vertical positions without warping, shrinking, distortion or expansion.
- Ensure the quality of the weld meets the required specifications and tolerances by pre-inspection of all relevant grooves, angles, or gap allowances.
- Use initiative and work without direct supervision; however, report immediately to line supervisor any equipment, material, project, environmental or health and safety issues that may arise.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested commensurate with your skills, knowledge and ability in the interests of the Company.

- Meeting and satisfying Company quality requirements, standards, procedures, timescales and expectations.
- Meeting and satisfying Company HSE requirements, standards, procedures, timescales and expectations.
Health and Safety responsibilities:
- Co-operate with Company in compliance with HSE legislation.
- Comply with Company HSE policy and procedures at all times.
- Lead by example and promote Company HSE policy and procedures.
About you:
- Skilled/Semi-skilled/part qualified welders with a solid career in welding.
- Skills in welding both light and heavy gauge material.
- Reliable with good time keeping and attendance.
