About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join my clients team and take ownership of backend development across our platform. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a mature, autonomous environment and enjoys contributing to both code and culture. You’ll be working with Ruby on Rails as your primary language, with opportunities to apply your Python knowledge where needed. We’re hosted on AWS, and experience with cloud infrastructure is a big plus. You’ll be part of a friendly, collaborative, and chatty team that values proactive communication, problem-solving, and a sense of humour.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design and development of scalable backend services using Ruby on Rails
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support web and mobile platforms
  • Apply best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and DevOps engineers
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy
  • Help mentor junior developers and share knowledge across the team
  • Drive solutions forward independently and take initiative in identifying improvements

  • Working knowledge of Python
