A national fit-out specialist is looking for an experienced Installation Manager to oversee a range of interior construction projects across the UK. Working on-site as the key point of contact, you’ll be coordinating subcontractors, ensuring quality delivery, and keeping everything running smoothly from start to finish. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys building lasting client relationships. This is a field-based role with extensive travel across the UK, ideally suited to someone living along the M4 corridor. The position offers a salary of circa £45,000 per annum, with all travel expenses covered and a company vehicle provided. Overnight stays will be required, and accommodation costs are fully funded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the on-site lead for national commercial fit-out projects, representing the company to clients and stakeholders.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors and site teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain accurate project documentation including daily diaries, progress reports and labour logs.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance across all sites.
- Liaise with the head office and project managers to monitor programme milestones and provide site updates.
- Offer hands-on input and technical advice during all phases of the fit-out process.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience delivering commercial fit-out projects.
- Strong background in carpentry or joinery, with excellent technical knowledge of construction methods.
- Current SMSTS, CSCS (or CPCS/NPORS).
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays.
- Confident using IT tools such as MS Word, Excel, and preferably Buildertrend.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to build strong relationships on-site and with clients.
