An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Key Account Manager to join a successful sales team covering the Yorkshire region (Barnsley - Sheffield - York). In this client-facing role, you’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of high-value commercial accounts across sectors such as agriculture, transport, and industrial heating. Balancing on-the-road relationship building with strategic account development, this is a great position for a results-driven professional. This is a home-based role, giving you the flexibility to manage your own diary, with typically no more than one or two days a week at their office in Louth. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000 (including car allowance) plus an uncapped quarterly bonus and access to comprehensive benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key commercial, agricultural, and industrial accounts across the Yorkshire region.
- Drive revenue, volume, and margin growth through pricing strategies, upselling, and customer loyalty initiatives.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities to exceed regional sales targets.
- Conduct regular face-to-face and virtual client meetings to strengthen relationships and understand customer needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver excellent service, minimise churn, and improve overall customer experience.
- Support and mentor Account Executives, contributing to team development and knowledge sharing.
You’ll inherit a portfolio of loyal, high-value accounts in the region, while also being encouraged and rewarded for spotting new opportunities to expand your territory.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven field-based sales and key account management experience, ideally within commercial or industrial sectors.
- Strong commercial awareness with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build long-term client relationships.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and proactive in identifying growth opportunities.
- Confident working independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced sales environment.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
