Niche Productions Group is seeking an experienced Head of Business Development – Corporate Events to help establish and grow a new commercial division focused on delivering exceptional corporate events, immersive experiences and brand activations. This is a senior freelance consultancy role for an individual with an established network of contacts across corporate event buyers, experiential agencies, marketing agencies and brands. We are looking for someone who understands how high value corporate projects are won and who can help position Niche Productions Group as a trusted delivery partner within this market.

Our creative and production teams have collectively delivered projects such as The Traitors: Live Experience, HUMBUG, Violas Room and Peppa Pig: Surprise Party. With clients such as Punchdunk, Immersive Everywhere, Secret Cinema, Immersive Octopus and Backyard Cinema.

We already have the creative capability, production infrastructure and operational expertise to deliver ambitious corporate experiences. What we need is someone who can open the right doors, introduce us to the right people and help shape the commercial foundations of this exciting new division.

The successful candidate will initially be engaged on a three month freelance contract, with the intention of building a long term relationship should both parties feel the engagement is successful.

The first month will focus on establishing the foundations for long term growth rather

than immediately securing new business.

A typical first month is likely to include:

Week One

  • Understanding Niche Productions Group, our services, capabilities and ambitions.
  • Reviewing previous projects and identifying our strongest commercial propositions.
  • Meeting the wider creative and production teams.

Week Two

  • Developing our corporate events offering and refining how we present ourselves to the market.
  • Creating capability presentations, sales collateral and case studies.
  • Advising on commercial positioning and pricing strategy.

Week Three

  • Identifying target sectors, agencies, brands and corporate organisations.
  • Building a structured sales pipeline and recommending CRM processes.
  • Beginning introductions through your existing network where appropriate.

Week Four

  • Refining the commercial strategy.
  • Identifying live opportunities.
  • Preparing for pitches and client meetings.
  • Agreeing priorities and sales targets for the following months.

Following this initial period, the focus of the role will naturally transition towards

relationship building, pitching, networking and securing new corporate event

The consultancy combines an agreed level of freelance support with a performance based

commission structure linked to the successful generation of new business.

Time Commitment

We anticipate this consultancy requiring between one and three days per week, depending on workload and business needs. We expect the successful candidate to recommend the most effective way of structuring their time to maximise commercial impact, with an emphasis on building sustainable relationships and generating new business opportunities.
