As a medicines insight analyst in the insight and programmes team, you will play a key role in delivering NICE's ambition to be part of a system that constantly learns from data and implementation. You will help NICE and the wider healthcare system drive improvement by understanding the implementation and adoption of our recommendations. Your experience extracting and analysing NHS prescribing data will be used to identify where our guidance is making a difference. You will work with colleagues across NICE and stakeholders in the healthcare system, using your medicines expertise to advise on what can be learned from prescribing data, carry out analyses and identify actionable insights which support decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing, collating, analysing and synthesising prescribing and other healthcare data to develop insights on the implementation and adoption of our guidance in the healthcare system, at a national and local level - we are moving towards using R as much as possible in our analytical work.
- Developing analytical outputs and presentations suitable for a range of technical and non-technical audiences - we use PowerBI for our dashboards.
- Communicating actionable insights which support decision-making within NICE and to the wider healthcare system.
- Contributing to the writing, editing, design and critical appraisal of relevant programme publications.
- Working closely with other team members, including reviewing and quality assuring outputs and agreeing suitable analytical approaches.
- Developing and maintaining working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
