Main duties of the job
Healthcare Data Analytics is a central hub for all healthcare data analysis at NICE, focusing on descriptive reproducible analysis. The team provides an increasingly important function to meet the growing requirements for fast and reliable guidance to the health and social care sectors. Working with the Associate Director – Healthcare Data Analytics, the Technical Adviser will lead the next phase of using real‑world data, through applying advanced real‑world evidence methodology to deliver future guidance. The role will provide leadership on technical functions within healthcare data analytics, including overseeing how healthcare data analysis is delivered for guidance development, from quality assurance and quality checks to ensuring appropriate infrastructure is available.

Person Specification
Education/Qualifications
Master’s degree, or equivalent level of knowledge acquired through experience, with highly developed expertise in data use in health and care, health informatics or health data science.
Experience
- Strong programming knowledge in high‑level analytical languages such as R, SQL, Python, etc.
- Expert knowledge of routinely collected health data sources.
- Track record of developing a strong quality assurance and automated testing culture into analytical work, including producing robust and reproducible analysis using modern version control software.
Skills/Knowledge
- Experience of working with healthcare data to deliver primary and/or secondary research.
- Experience of leading a team.
