At the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), we put people at the heart of everything we do. The People Hub Team is the first point of contact for colleagues across the organisation, and we’re looking for a warm, capable, and proactive People Hub Coordinator to be the welcoming face and voice of our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering excellent HR support, helping colleagues navigate everything from policies and training to wellbeing and workplace culture. Main duties of the job

In this key role, you’ll provide responsive, high‑quality support across the full spectrum of People Hub activity – from sickness absence and occupational health to learning and development, policy queries, and more. Key responsibilities include:

  • Respond to a wide range of People-related queries with clarity, care, and professionalism
  • Provide admin support across HR functions, including updating intranet content and coordinating job evaluation panels
  • Manage training logistics via ESR OLM and support in‑person and virtual sessions
  • Maintain accurate People records and systems for reporting and audit
  • Support sickness absence processes and help identify trends and actions
  • Collaborate with internal teams, trade unions, and external partners
  • Promote a just, inclusive, and restorative culture in everything you do

Experience

  • Experience working with managers in the use and interpretation of policies, procedures, terms and conditions and wide range of People/HR activity
  • Experience in IT, working with and maintaining e‑HR applications such as shared inbox, intranet and case management systems
  • Experience in working with and maintaining Electronic Staff Records (ESR) system

Skills

  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong customer service and solution-based focus
  • Ability to adapt and respond appropriately to a range of varied and immediate customer needs
  • Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload effectively, meeting deadlines in an environment with occasionally conflicting priorities

Qualifications

  • CIPD level 3/Certificate in Personnel Practice or equivalent with significant experience in a similar role
