This role focuses on 24/7 service reliability, incident response, operational automation, and observability, while actively reducing operational toil through software and automation.Unlike a traditional NOC analyst, an SRE‑NOC is expected to engineer problems away, not just respond to alerts.How will you make an impact?Incident Response & OperationsAct as a primary or escalation responder in a 24x7 on‑call rotationLead or support Major Incident (MI) response, including triage, mitigation, and resolutionCoordinate across Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, and Product teamsExecute and improve runbooks, playbooks, and escalation pathsDrive blameless post‑incident reviews (PIRs) and track corrective actionsMonitoring, Alerting & ObservabilityOwn service health monitoring across infrastructure, applications, and dependenciesDesign and maintain alerting strategies that align with SLIs/SLOsReduce alert fatigue through signal‑to‑noise improvementsBuild dashboards using tools such as:GrafanaPrometheusDatadog / Splunk / CloudWatchReliability Engineering & AutomationAutomate repetitive operational tasks to reduce manual toilImprove mean time to detect (MTTD) and mean time to resolve (MTTR)Develop scripts and tools (Python, Bash, Go, etc.) to support NOC/SRE workflowsImplement self‑healing and auto‑remediation where possiblePartner with engineering teams to improve system design for reliabilityPlatform & Infrastructure SupportSupport and troubleshoot:Linux‑based systemsCloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)Kubernetes / containerized environmentsAssist with capacity planning and availability reviewsEnsure operational readiness for production releasesHave you got what it takes?TechnicalStrong Linux systems administrationExperience with incident management and production supportFamiliarity with:Cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)Containers & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Monitoring/alerting platformsScripting or programming experience in Python, Bash, Go, or similarUnderstanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing)OperationalExperience working in 24x7 NOC or production operations environmentsAbility to handle high‑pressure incidents calmly and effectivelyStrong written and verbal communication for incident coordinationComfort working from runbooks—but improving them when they fall shortPreferred / DifferentiatorsExperience defining or operating to SLOs / SLIsPrior migration from traditional NOC SRE modelInfrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)Exposure to security, compliance, or regulated environmentsRequisition ID: 10579.Reporting into: Manager, Network Operations.Role Type: Individual Contributor.#LI-RemoteAbout NiCE NICE Ltd.
