Our People Services Team is central to this mission, with the People Hub set to become the primary gateway for all our services.

As our new People Hub Team Lead, you will lead a dedicated team and play a key role in shaping how colleagues access People support. You’ll collaborate with the Head of Resourcing and Intelligence to design and implement a modern, responsive People Hub focused on delivering exceptional customer service.

This role is ideal for someone with generalist HR experience who is ready to step into a leadership position. You will work across the full People Directorate, gaining exposure to employee relations, learning and development, resourcing, and organizational development—providing a valuable platform for career growth and impact.

Interviews are expected to take place in early September.

In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the People Hub, ensuring high-quality, customer-focused HR support, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the service.

  • Lead and coach a small team to deliver excellent HR support.
  • Manage the daily operations of the People Hub, ensuring timely and accurate responses to queries.
  • Assist in designing and launching a new, modern People Hub model.
  • Utilize data and digital tools to identify trends, enhance service delivery, and inform decisions.
  • Support managers with sickness absence and wellbeing issues, escalating complex cases as needed.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, trade unions, and external partners.
  • Drive continuous improvement through KPIs, performance metrics, and feedback.
  • Promote a values-led, inclusive, and restorative culture across all People practices.
