Nice and Serious is a creative agency that partners with brands and charities who are serious about making a nicer world. We bring clarity and conviction to issues that can't afford to be misunderstood and produce creative work that can't be ignored. Our team is made up of filmmakers, strategists, designers, copywriters, animators and client service. Over the last 15 years we've worked with some of the most innovative, purpose-led brands and charities including RSPB, Fairtrade, Volvo, Bowel Cancer UK, Switchboard, Vodafone Three and Costa. We're proudly certified as a B Corp, we work a 4.5 day week, and through our Moral Compass tool, everyone gets to vote on which briefs align with our mission.

As a Senior Account Manager at Nice and Serious, you are the bridge between our clients and creative team. You're meticulous with budgets and timings, you combine operational excellence with a deep curiosity for our clients' missions and a flair for creative problem-solving. You'll bring an enthusiasm to the workplace that is infectious to both our clients and the rest of the team.

With client services roles in our studio, you won't just be a messenger. You will be a strategic partner. You'll be expected to grow accounts, spot opportunities to do braver work, and ensure that every project we deliver is profitable, on-brief, and impactful. You must be eager to learn and develop, be great at building strong internal and external relationships, confident at challenging briefs and inspire everyone (as well as yourself) to create brilliant creative solutions.

The Senior Account Manager role is a hybrid one, so you will be both the account manager and project manager on projects focusing on project delivery and client communications. You will be required to work two days a week in our office in Old Street between Tuesday-Thursday, with flexibility for the rest of the week.

Requirements

  • Client and project management: Run accounts and projects effectively and efficiently with excellent attention to detail whilst developing strong relationships with clients through regular contact both in-person and remotely.
  • Understand your clients' business and represent this within the agency – whether this is brief writing, feeding into creative ideas or being able to give wider business context.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to grow your accounts, turning small project wins into longer term relationships.
  • Help clients navigate complex sustainability and social issues. You will need to spot greenwashing risks and guide clients toward authentic, impactful communication.
  • Be accountable for high quality project delivery to agreed deadlines and budgets, championing best practice within the agency.
  • Actively contribute to all meetings – internal or external, managing client status meetings/calls & status documentation.
  • Write the best creative briefs. You need to distill complex client problems into simple, inspiring starting points for our creative team.
  • Have a strong interest in inspiring, innovative creative work – pushing us to develop new and groundbreaking ideas.
  • Take responsibility for the quality of the creative work presented to clients, ensuring that our output is the best it can be at all phases in the project.
  • Ensure creative and production teams are developing work in line with the agreed strategic direction.
  • Keep track of finances across all key clients and projects including invoicing, forecasting and third party costs.
  • Complete financial spreadsheets, time sheets & project burn reports.
  • Understand the importance of delivering projects as efficiently as possible, and the impact of this on the wider business.
  • Forecast and stay on track of upcoming work and plan resource accordingly.

Must haves

  • You are the kind of person who gets excited about a spreadsheet and a storyboard.
  • You are organised, empathetic, and commercially minded.
  • You will have at least 4 years working in a creative agency, with experience in branding, design, campaign development and video production.
  • You will have a strong interest in sustainability and ideally experience working with purpose-led brands or charities.
  • You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work quickly in a fast paced environment.

Reporting

You will report directly to our Senior Account Director.

Benefits

  • We are a 4.5 day week company (the studio is closed on Friday afternoons).
  • You are required to work from the office at least two days per week, between Tuesday and Thursday. The remaining days can be worked from either the office or home, based on your preference.
  • Flexible working hours and policy.
  • Holiday allowance of 25 days per annum pro rata (plus three additional days off over the December holiday period).
  • Your birthday day off.
  • Spill mental health support platform with access to therapy sessions.
  • Team strategy days and socials.
