Role Description

We’re looking for a hands‑on Founding Engineer / Technical Co‑Founder to join as a true partner in building Nibblr, from the technical architecture to the business roadmap. You’ll collaborate closely with the founder to shape the product, technology and business from the ground up—designing, testing, and scaling the early product whilst jointly defining how the company grows and evolves.

You’ll oversee all technical development, and lead the development of Nibblr’s backend systems and AI engine—turning complex ingredient and nutritional data into structured, actionable insights. You’ll be central in building the first commercial version of our ingredient‑matching and recommendation engine.

Beyond engineering, you’ll help shape the roadmap, co‑design user‑facing features, and set the foundations for our technical strategy, data model, and team culture.

This is an opportunity for a pragmatic, versatile builder who thrives in early‑stage environments—a person who enjoys rolling up their sleeves across the stack, balancing speed with scalability, and co‑creating the systems, workflows, and culture behind a growing B2B SaaS venture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in full‑stack development in early‑stage or high‑growth B2B SaaS environments with good experience in backend system architecture.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally—translating user insights and commercial goals into technical solutions alongside product, design, and domain experts.
• Experience contributing to or owning parts of the roadmap, balancing delivery with experimentation and learning.
• Experience designing and deploying scalable systems and APIs in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or similar).
• Strong understanding of data engineering and data modelling, with exposure to AI/ML or recommendation systems (e.g. similarity, clustering, classification).

Nice to have:

• Experience or interest in the food industry and its data challenges (ingredient, nutrition, or compliance).
