Responsibilities

  • Build, test, and tune game rules for live operations gameplay in Pokémon GO.
  • Develops one-page compositions and content drafts, securing alignment with cross-functional teams for live events.
  • Clearly communicate content requirements, implementation processes, risks, and interactions.
  • Identify and collaborate with internal teams to implement innovative ways to keep the game fresh and engaging for players.
  • Conduct market analysis and user outreach to understand local player behaviors and gameplay desires.
  • Work closely with IP holders to ensure brand integrity.
  • Partner with producers, designers, and marketing teams to deliver compelling live service experiences.
  • Be available for on-call troubleshooting to maintain flawless operations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years crafting and running content for a live mobile game.
  • Extensive experience in content creation, from concept to delivery.
  • Proven expertise in game balance and pacing within a free-to-play economic model.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and the ability to manipulate, summarize, and maintain large data sets.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding English speaking and written correspondence.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a demanding team environment.
  • A passionate gamer with a deep understanding of mobile games.
  • Strong understanding of Pokémon GO and the broader Pokémon franchise.
  • Experience working on high-profile games with a significant number of daily active users.

  • Experience with prototyping data models.
  • Proficiency in Unity game development.
  • Proficiency in scripting or tools writing.

The hourly rate for this role is between €27.50/hr – €30.50/hr

This is a contractor position and the work should be performed based on service agreement and SOW. Niantic will not offer Contractor direct employment contract, salary, benefits, equities, or any compensation associated with employment.
