To provide high-quality personal and practical care to service users in their own homes while promoting independence, dignity, privacy, choice, and wellbeing.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Personal Care
    • Assisting with washing, bathing, dressing, and grooming
    • Supporting with toileting and continence care
    • Assisting with mobility and transfers using appropriate equipment
    • Supporting with medication in line with company policy
  • Daily Living Support
    • Preparing meals and assisting with feeding where required
    • Assisting with shopping and collecting prescriptions
    • Light household duties including cleaning, laundry, and tidying
    • Supporting service users to attend appointments and social activities
  • Emotional Support
    • Providing companionship and emotional reassurance
    • Promoting independence and confidence
    • Respecting service users' dignity, privacy, beliefs, and choices
  • Record Keeping
    • Maintaining accurate care records and daily notes
    • Reporting concerns, incidents, or safeguarding issues immediately
    • Communicating effectively with families and healthcare professionals
