Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Personal Care
- Assisting with washing, bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting with toileting and continence care
- Assisting with mobility and transfers using appropriate equipment
- Supporting with medication in line with company policy
- Daily Living Support
- Preparing meals and assisting with feeding where required
- Assisting with shopping and collecting prescriptions
- Light household duties including cleaning, laundry, and tidying
- Supporting service users to attend appointments and social activities
- Emotional Support
- Providing companionship and emotional reassurance
- Promoting independence and confidence
- Respecting service users dignity, privacy, beliefs, and choices
- Record Keeping
- Maintaining accurate care records and daily notes
- Reporting concerns, incidents, or safeguarding issues immediately
- Communicating effectively with families and healthcare professionals
- Health & Safety
- Following infection prevention and control procedures
- Using PPE appropriately
- Following moving and handling procedures safely
- Adhering to safeguarding and confidentiality policies
Essential Requirements
