Water Treatment Process Technician

Role Responsibilities

Effective and efficient operation of treatment plants and raw water resources.

All work to be carried out with full consideration for and compliance with health and safety procedures.

Applicants MUST be able to demonstrate in their application and where necessary at interview:

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

1. 2 GCSE’s in English & Maths or equivalent at Grade C or above .

2. One years’ experience in the operation and or / maintenance of a water treatment plant or similar type industrial process in another industry

3. Basic knowledge and experience of using computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook and Internet Explorer or similar.

4. Potential employees must have a permanent residence within 25 miles travelling distance by public road to both treatment plants, as measured by RAC Route Planner from each of the full plant postcodes to your full home postcode via the ‘shortest route’ selection on the website.

  • Caugh Hill Water Treatment Works, Banagher Road, Dungiven, Londonderry, BT47 4TX

This is to enable NI Water to meet its key customer service requirements and deliver effective services to customers, particularly in respect of the need to respond promptly to out of hours emergencies.

1. Knowledge of the Health & Safety requirements relating to water treatment

2. Experience and/or knowledge of water treatment processes

What is on Offer

Salary

HCO – Base salary: £29,454.36 per annum*

This payment is made up of a consolidated value of £24,407.04 and a non-consolidated value of £5,047.32 per annum.

*Overtime rates are based on the consolidated value only.

Salaries are reviewed annually effective 1st April.
