The primary focus of the role is to provide a central control operations service for NI Water on a 24/7 basis. The Telemetry Controller will make a positive contribution to the achievement of NI Water's Key Performance Indicators, which include customer satisfaction, regulatory and environmental compliance.
The Telemetry Controller will work within the Alarm Management Centre, as part of the wider Intelligent Operations team. Their primary role is to monitor, analyse and respond to alarms from NI Water's assets, enabling a timely response to operational and equipment issues, improving service delivery to our customers. The Telemetry Controller will also be responsible for monitoring additional systems and for communicating effectively with colleagues across the business and external stakeholders.
Applicants MUST be able to demonstrate in their application and where necessary at interview:
- A minimum of five GCSEs, including English Language and Mathematics or equivalent AND a minimum of one years' experience in a customer centric or operational role, analysing and interpreting system data. OR (in the absence of GCSE qualifications) A minimum of two years' experience in a customer centric role or operational role, analysing and interpreting system data.
- Experience of communicating effectively across a diverse range of stakeholders, using various communication methods.
- Experience of working to challenging targets / deadlines, in a regulated and / or customer service environment.
- Ability to work alone and use initiative, whilst contributing to wider team objectives.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook.

- This role offers a competitive remuneration package with a salary scale of £32,166 to £39,314 per annum plus a 24% allowance. The starting salary will normally be at the first point of the scale.
