Capital Delivery Technical Advisor
NI Water Developer Services is responsible for the provision of new water and wastewater infrastructure to serve private developers, local housing associations, commercial & industrial businesses, government departments and residential household customers. On an annual basis, NI Water receives c.200 requisitions for off-site sewers (Article 154), c.500 applications for new offsite sewer connections (Article 163) and c.25 requisitions for off-site watermains (Article 76).
Reporting to the Capital Project Manager, the Capital Delivery Technical Advisor will be integral to the assessment, management, and delivery of off-site sewer requisitions and connections, watermain requisitions and infrastructure improvement schemes.
The Capital Delivery Technical Advisor will apply a customer centric ethos in response to all requisition and connection applications, ensuring the timely processing of legislative agreements, adherence to Service Level Agreements and the implementation of engineering design & construction best practice.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. Have a 3rd level qualification (e.g., HNC, Level 4 NVQ, higher apprenticeship / HND, Level 5 NVQ / Degree, Water Industry Certificate or equivalent) or equivalent in a relevant field and a minimum of 1 years’ relevant experience in operations, asset management, engineering delivery or construction industry to include working knowledge of design and construction of sewers and water mains.
OR
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the civil engineering or construction industry within operations, asset management or engineering delivery with a working knowledge of design and construction of sewers and watermains or 2 years’ experience in dealing with planning applications.
2. Good communication and interpersonal skills with experience of dealing with customers/developers.
3. Proficient in the use of MS Office applications including Word and Excel.
4. Knowledge of the Sewers for Adoption Northern Ireland Specification.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA

Salary
This Band 6a role offers a competitive remuneration package with a salary scale of £32,166 to £39,314 per annum (pay award pending).
The starting salary will normally be at the first point of the scale. Salaries are reviewed annually effective 1st April.
