We are recruiting a Marketing and Events Assistant to support the promotion and delivery of our basketball events, programmes, and community initiatives across Northern Ireland. About the Role

The Marketing and Events Assistant will play a key supporting role in the planning, promotion, and delivery of Basketball NI activities. This includes supporting events linked to our leagues, Team NI international squads, and community programmes. The successful candidate will gain practical experience across digital marketing, content creation, event coordination, and sports development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the promotion of Basketball NI events and programmes
  • Assisting with the design of digital and print marketing materials (posters, graphics, etc.)
  • Updating the Basketball NI website with news, events, and programme information
  • Helping to create and schedule social media content across platforms
  • Assisting with event delivery, including set‑up, registration, and on‑the‑day coordination
  • Capturing photos, videos, and participant feedback to support marketing and reporting
  • Maintaining accurate attendance and engagement records
  • Supporting general administrative tasks such as responding to emails and updating databases
  • Working closely with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth event delivery

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok)
  • Confidence using digital tools to create and share content
