Purpose of the role: To support the Company in implementing Health & Safety Policies & Procedures and meeting all legal obligations whilst ensuring the Health, Safety and well-being of our workforce.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere and work towards the company core values.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures outlined in employee handbook.
- Provide advice and guidance to managers, supervisors and employees.
- Policy setting and implementation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety Legislation.
- Conduct H&S inspections and investigations.
- Reporting.
- Conduct Risk Assessments and follow up action planning.
- Auditing internal and assistance during external.
- Adhere to all health and safety practices.
- Delivery on in-house training, booking external training.
- Any other duties and reasonable tasks within your capability as set out by management.
Requirements for the role:
- Degree in relevant discipline preferred.
- NEBOSH general certificate essential.
- Relevant Training Qualification.
- 3-5 years previous experience in a similar role (or able to demonstrate adequate knowledge and ability to fulfil the role).
- Experience in the food industry will be advantageous.
Desirable Criteria:
- Driving license and/or access to transport or ability to fulfil any driving requirements of the role.
- Good oral and written communication skills (Sufficient level of written and spoken English to maintain levels of safety).
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and coherently with other team members.
- Flexibility with working times to ensure consistency of policy implementation and servicing of audits/investigations etc.
