About this role: Reporting to the Senior Design Manager, the BIM Information Management Lead will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality project and asset information across the full project lifecycle. This role is responsible for leading BIM and information management activities in line with ISO 19650 and project EIRs, ensuring coordinated, accurate, and compliant information models from design through to commissioning and handover. Acting as a technical authority and mentor, the role will support multidisciplinary teams, drive best practice in BIM delivery, and ensure effective use of digital tools and common data environments to enable successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the delivery of the Project and Asset Information Models, as specified in the Exchange Information Requirements (EIRs) and ISO 19650 protocol.
- Lead and support the development of the associated BIM deliverables.
- Conduct regular reviews of BIM models to identify and resolve clashes, discrepancies, model health checks, and raise design issues using Model Co-ordination/Navisworks.
- Oversee the maintenance and management of BIM models and be responsible for publishing of Assets information to allow co-ordination with design and commissioning teams.
- Ensure Information management function is maintained, and relevant design documentation is uploaded to any third party CDE.
- Provide training and technical support to project teams on software and tools, including Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Assist in project setup and coordinate with project teams to ensure proper implementation, invites of users, setting of permissions and roll out of familiarisation training if required.
- Participate in BIM meetings with project stakeholders and provide minutes/actions to be fed to the wider design teams.
- Enjoy the full life cycle of a project from initial specification to commissioning and handover of relevant BIM data (e.g. COBie and Asset registers).
- Providing mentorship and guidance to the wider design teams to ensure the successful execution of BIM-related tasks.
Essential Criteria:
- Engineering qualification (HNC/HND or similar)
- 4 years’ experience in a similar BIM or design role
- Working within a multidisciplinary design team
- Experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Revit, Plant 3D, Navisworks.
- Knowledge of ISO19650 BIM standards.
