We are recruiting a Transport Coordinator to join a successful, family-run transport operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in transport, logistics, planning or scheduling who is looking to take the next step in their career and develop their skills within a busy and growing operation. You will play a key role in coordinating the day-to-day transport operation, ensuring drivers, vehicles and routes are effectively organised while delivering a high level of service to customers.
The Role:
- Coordinating daily driver schedules and delivery/collection routes.
- Planning and organising transport requirements to ensure efficient use of drivers and vehicles.
- Liaising with drivers throughout the day to monitor progress and resolve any issues.
- Managing customer requirements and responding to changes or last-minute requests.
- Dealing with operational challenges and finding practical solutions quickly.
- Keeping customers updated on deliveries and any changes to schedules.
- Ensuring transport plans are communicated clearly to drivers and relevant colleagues.
- Monitoring the progress of deliveries and making adjustments where required.
- Maintaining accurate transport and scheduling records.
- Working closely with the wider team to ensure the operation runs smoothly.
About You:
We are looking for someone who has previous experience in transport, logistics, planning, scheduling or a similar operational environment. You will ideally be:

- Confident communicating with drivers, customers and colleagues.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- A good problem solver with strong attention to detail.
