The Bedford Hotel Belfast, operated by Focus Hotels Management, seeks a skilled and driven Maintenance Manager who thrives in a luxury hospitality setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all aspects of the hotel's maintenance operations, encompassing repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance of equipment, furniture, and fixtures.
- Managing legionella and fire risk assessments and maintaining a comprehensive registry of all maintenance activities.
- Overseeing all hotel maintenance operations, ensuring all rooms and facilities are kept to the highest standard.
- Developing and managing a planned preventative maintenance programme to minimise downtime and extend the life of assets.
- Leading, motivating, and supporting the maintenance team to deliver a safe, efficient, and guest-focused service.
- Monitoring, managing, and maintaining all plant, machinery, and building systems to ensure statutory compliance.
- Conducting routine safety checks, including legionella testing, fire safety systems, and risk assessments.
- Responding promptly to maintenance requests, prioritising urgent repairs to reduce guest disruption.
- Managing contractor relationships, ensuring all work is delivered to high quality standards, within budget, and in line with health and safety requirements.
- Preparing and managing departmental budgets, forecasts, and CAPEX proposals, ensuring cost efficiency.
- Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance reports.
- Carrying out regular property inspections with the General Manager and implementing corrective action plans where required.
- Ensuring efficient operations through effective rotas, stock control, and procurement processes.
- Training, coaching, and developing team members, conducting performance reviews and supporting career growth.
- Fostering a culture of safety, integrity, and professionalism across the department.
- Acting as a key contact for emergency response procedures, including fire and security incidents.
- Working closely with Heads of Department to ensure maintenance support aligns with business needs and enhances guest experience.
