This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in one of Belfast's recent boutique hotel openings. The Bedford Hotel Belfast will be a prestigious boutique hotel set within the iconic Scottish Mutual Building in the heart of the city. With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a destination restaurant, café/bar, and exclusive private dining rooms, The Bedford Hotel Belfast is setting new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.
Role Responsibilities
- Daily supervision of the Food & Beverage areas, ensuring both standards and guest expectations are maintained.
- Supervising the day-to-day staffing requirements, planning and assigning tasks, whilst establishing performance and development goals for your team members.
- Empowering the team to handle all guest feedback, providing mentoring, coaching and regular feedback.
- Being part of the team with a visible presence on the floor throughout service times to ensure the standards are met.
- Being a welcoming host to our guests, anticipating guest needs whenever possible and reacting to these to enhance guest satisfaction, ensuring all guests' expectations are exceeded.
- Delivering effective training and development for your team ensuring all employees are inducted and trained according to Company standards.
- Driving sales to maximise food revenue, ensuring budgets are met.
- Ensuring all procedures & day-to-day performance comply with legislative and hotel guidelines e.g. Health & Safety, Food Handling & Hygiene Legislation etc.
- Supporting in the control of costs through correct stock usage, storage, rotation, par stock levels, purchase order systems and minimising wastage as per Company standards.
- Completing any other reasonable tasks as delegated by your Line Manager.
Key Requirements
- Previous Food & Beverage supervisory experience, preferably within a hotel environment.
- Excellent customer service skills, standards driven, good organisational skills.
- Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style.
- Flexibility - to enjoy working different shift patterns and seeing the operation on different days of the week including the weekends.
