The Northern Ireland Civil Service is now recruiting Senior Occupational Health Psychologists to join their Occupational Health & Wellbeing Services. The Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service (OWH) functions as a multi-disciplinary team, committed to the training and development of its staff. Job Summary The purpose of this role is to ensure that the Service is responsive to the existing and emerging healthcare needs of the NICS and client bodies. This includes professional advice on a wide range of workplace health related issues, health promotion, health protection programmes and input to policy and procedure development. Main Duties Provide advice, guidance and supervision in the application of psychological assessment at work Apply psychological knowledge and experience to support the design, development and evaluation of employment, health related and other employability programmes. Utilise scientific research methods to inform evidence-based organisational decision making. Deliver organisational development solutions to help improve performance across the Department and wider NICS. Develop a range of cognitive tests to help with job matching and reasonable adjustments. Engage and collaborate with clinical colleagues within OHW's multidisciplinary team to provide occupational health advice to employees and employers. Engage and collaborate with HR colleagues in the preparation of recruitment competitions and placement of candidates where disability legislation is applicable. To engage in continuing professional development activities that meets the standards of the regulatory bodies and supports the delivery of a modern and effective service. Eligibility Criteria MSc Occupational Psychology (or equivalent titled course) approved as Stage 1 by the British Psychological Society (BPS). Current Chartered Membership of the British Psychological Society. British Psychological Society Qualification in Occupational Psychology Stage 2 OR Have completed Part 1 and Part 2 of a professional doctorate in occupational psychology, which confers Chartered Member with the BPS and Registered Occupational Psychologist with the HCPC. Full Membership of the Division of Occupational Psychology, British Psychological Society. Be a Registered Occupational Psychologist with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
