The role requires maintaining helicopters (line and base) while working in a team of engineers and reporting to the Chief Engineer.
Responsibilities & Main Result Areas
- Line Maintenance
- Comply with the requirements as described in the regulations.
- Ensure that all line maintenance tasks carried out on helicopters meet the UK CAA and M.O.E. standards.
- Create a variable and flexible work plan and roster with all engineers to support business continuity.
- Complete maintenance within the appropriate time scales to keep aircraft serviceable.
- Perform daily problem analysis and problem solving based on pilot and other relevant information.
- Brief and debrief pilots and the Chief Engineer.
- Perform PRF (preflight check).
- Co‑operate with NHV Supply Chain, Store and support services to ensure required spare parts and materials are present on site at the planned moment.
- Report daily on the maintenance situation to the Chief Engineer.
- Comply with the requirements as described in the regulations.
- Ensure that all maintenance tasks carried out on helicopters meet the UK CAA and M.O.E. standards.
- Create a variable and flexible work plan and roster with all engineers to support business continuity.
- Complete maintenance within the appropriate time scales to keep aircraft serviceable.
- Brief and debrief the Chief Engineer; report daily and update him on the maintenance situation.
- Co‑operate with NHV Supply Chain, Store and support services to ensure required spare parts and materials are present on site.
- Participate in the daily morning Chief Engineer’s briefing (toolbox meeting).
Skills & Experience
- ICT literate (specific aviation software and MS Office).
- Languages: English (professional level).
- Familiar with and operates by the procedures and processes (operational, quality, safety…) installed by the company.
- Able to work independently in a less controlled environment and take initiative to improve work and complete tasks within appropriate time scales.
- Logical thinking.
Communication Skills
- Good communicator: Debriefing to pilots, flight crew and Chief Engineer.
- Handover of work from/to previous/next shift.
Requirements
- UK CAA Part 66 B1.3 License.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in aviation and as a licensed engineer is preferred.
- Engineering experience in different aviation companies is a plus.
