The Mechanic will work in a team and is responsible for the maintenance of the helicopters. They report to the Chief Engineer of the base.

Responsibilities
- Line Maintenance
- Basic tasks in Line Maintenance, in compliance with the requirements as described in the regulations: refueling, towing, baggage loading and other line activities;
- Ensure that all these line maintenance tasks carried out to helicopters meet the standard of the UK CAA and M.O.E. instructions;
- Ensure that all maintenance is completed within the appropriate time scales to ensure provision of a serviceable aircraft to meet the operational need;
- Assist the licensed engineers in troubleshooting;
- Assist the licensed engineers in correct handling of maintenance tasks – final check to be done by the licensed engineers;
- Ensure, in cooperation with NHV Supply Chain, Store that the necessary maintenance material and spare parts are present on site at the planned moment;
- Report daily to the licensed engineer on completion of tasks.
- Base Maintenance
- Comply with the requirements as described in the regulations;
- Ensure that all maintenance tasks carried out to helicopters meet the standard of the UK CAA and M.O.E. instructions;
- Ensure that all maintenance is completed within the appropriate time scales to ensure provision of serviceable aircraft to meet the operational need;
- Ensure, in cooperation with NHV Supply Chain, Store & MCC that the necessary maintenance material & spare parts are present on site at the planned moment.
Skills and Experience
- Experience
- Practical experience in maintenance in either line or base maintenance (preferably on helicopters) is a must.
- Skills
- ICT literate (specific aviation software & MS Office);
- Languages: English (professional level);
- Ability to follow company procedures and processes (operational, quality, safety …);
- Easy in learning new procedures and processes: motivated to study to obtain the right experience and knowledge in helicopter maintenance;
- Solution finder but with an eye for detail and taking into account all regulations and procedures.
