Woodend Hospital – Ward Housekeeper – Band 2

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeper to join the team within the Links Unit at Woodend Hospital, Aberdeen. Links@Woodend is a 22 bedded mixed rehabilitation unit caring for individuals who have undergone amputation or who are recovering from an orthopaedic injury/surgery.

We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills to perform this role safely and efficiently. You should be able to work using your own initiative and have an active interest in developing the role of the housekeeper to meet the demands of the department. Successful applicants will be joining a well-motivated and dynamic multi-disciplinary team who strive to deliver the highest level of care possible.

Candidates should be enthusiastic, dynamic, caring and compassionate, with a keen interest in patient rehabilitation. You should be self-motivated and strive to deliver high-quality patient-focused care. Experience within a clinical setting is desirable, although not essential, as supervision and support will be available to orientate you into the role.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support patient rehabilitation and care within the unit.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork to perform duties safely and efficiently.
  • Show initiative and participate in developing the housekeeper role to meet department needs.

Qualifications

  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, caring and compassionate with an interest in Patient Rehabilitation.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care.
  • Experience in a clinical setting is desirable but not essential; supervision and orientation are provided.
