There is an exciting opportunity to join the NHS Tayside’s Staff Bank as a Health Care Support Worker Vaccinator, to support the Central Vaccination Service this Autumn/Winter.
As part of NHS Tayside’s Public Health Directorate, the Central Vaccination Service plays a key role in health protection and health promotion. In collaboration with other services and through a multidisciplinary approach, the Central Vaccination Service provides expert advice and delivery of all vaccines provided by the NHS. The team deliver several vaccination programmes to all ages across Tayside, including in community-based clinics, outreach & rural clinics, as well as in care homes and home visits. With our commitment to person centred care and tackling health inequalities, we have strong links with other community outreach teams and work in collaboration through our ongoing inclusivity work.
As a Health Care Support Worker Vaccinator, you will be supported through a comprehensive induction and training programme to develop your knowledge and skills in vaccination.
You will work both independently and collaboratively within a busy clinic environment, delivering vaccinations as delegated by a registered Nurse/Midwife Vaccinator, as part of the wider team.
Shift times are 08:30-18:00, Monday-Friday, with possible Saturday work available.

We are offering the opportunity to support one of our vaccination teams in either:
- Perth & Kinross
- Dundee or
- Angus.

The Staff Bank centrally co-ordinates bank shifts for all nursing and midwifery services across NHS Tayside through an electronic booking system, allowing bank workers to view and book their shifts through a computer or mobile device.
Interested candidates are required to evidence on application, awareness of the Staff Bank function and individual commitment to being part of our supplementary workforce. Applicants are required to evidence current NMC Registration in the application form and at point of interview.
