The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We are looking to recruit an ambitious and knowledgeable project manager seeking to gain experience in management of health and care transformation programmes in a fast paced and exciting environment. The post holder will support the wider team to ensure that programmes and projects within the Transformation Unit portfolio are planned and managed effectively.

The post-holder must be adaptable, flexible and a good communicator. Given the nature of the role, there may be a requirement to react quickly to external influences and changing priorities whilst supporting other members of the Transformation Unit in project and programme management tasks as directed by Delivery Leads and other senior members of the team.

Their responsibilities will include:

· Manage and deliver specific projects and activities including development of project plans, reporting progress and undertaking risk and issue management to ensure effective and timely delivery.

· Contribute to planning and executing engagement with clinicians to understand the case for change, develop future models of care and implement change.

· Manage key relationships with clinicians and other stakeholders as relevant to areas of work leading on.

· Create and contribute to project documentation including business cases.

· Plan and execute communications activity including meetings, workshops, and events.

· Chair and lead meetings and events.

· Deputise for the Managing Consultants.

The post holder’s prime responsibility is to ensure that assigned projects produce the required deliverables within the defined quality, time and cost constraints., · To plan, organise and deliver discrete projects and activities within the Transformation Unit portfolio.

· To create, maintain and track project plans, reporting on variance through status reports.

· To track risks and issues and take appropriate action resolving issues where appropriate and escalating where necessary.

· To plan, organise and deliver communications activity such as meetings, workshops, and events.

· Maintenance of risk registers and issue logs

· To be self-organisation and responsible for time management.

Communications and engagement

· Manages key relationships with clinicians and others as relevant to areas of work leading on.

· Fosters relationships with established contacts and team members and proactively manages these relationships.

· Leads and facilitates workshops and events as required.

· Delivers presentations to a range of audiences.

· Act as an ambassador for the Transformation Unit communicating professionally in all contacts, including with senior stakeholders and clinicians, both face to face and via email.

· Able to communicate sensitive information about review recommendations or change with a high level of diplomacy.

Partnership working

· Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team whilst managing own workload.

· To actively seek and develop positive working relationships within the Transformation Unit team.

· To maintain and promote positive relationships with clinicians and others engaged in projects and programmes.

Research and development

· To take responsibility for own learning and development including identifying any areas of learning that might add to the knowledge base of the wider team.

· Undertakes research to support projects and programmes.

· Analyses data to provide evidence for projects and programmes.

Leadership and motivation

· To provide advice and guidance to more junior members of the team.

· To deputise for Managing Consultants as appropriate and as directed by line management.

Responsibility for improving patient care

· To support projects and programmes that will improve patient care and outcomes.

· To ensure patient input is a core element of all improvement work.

Responsibility for service development

· To identify areas for improvement in project management methodologies, tools, templates and documentation used by the Transformation Unit team.

· To contribute to the development of tools, templates, documentation methodologies and approaches used by the Transformation Unit team.

Analysis and data management

· Able to identify data requirements, define analysis requirements, design data gathering and desired outputs.

· Able to assess the robustness of data and ensure data analysis for projects and programmes is sufficient and will pass scrutiny

· Able to perform complex analyses on data relevant to projects and programmes, including presenting data in a variety of formats, bar charts, statistical process control charts.

· Responsible for tracking data, including risks and issues, continuously to quickly resolve failures to meet project requirements and act accordingly to inform team members as appropriate.

Responsibilities for physical and financial resources

· Responsible for managing the project budgets, tracks expenditure and provides reports to Managing Consultants of Transformation Unit, as required.
