Role Overview: We seek an experienced and motivated Medical Secretary to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the administrative staff, you will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the practice. Your role will facilitate effective communication between healthcare professionals, patients, and external organisations. Key Responsibilities: Administrative Support: Prepare, type, and distribute correspondence, medical reports, and referral letters using medical terminology. Handle emails, telephone calls, and other correspondence promptly and professionally. Patient Liaison: Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-ups. Address patient inquiries and resolve administrative issues with discretion and sensitivity. Document Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the practice’s clinical system (e.g., EMIS). Process referrals through e-Referral Service (e-RS) and other online

platforms. Coordination: Liaise with hospitals, laboratories, and other healthcare providers to ensure efficient communication and patient care. Support the clinical team with administrative tasks to optimise workflow. Confidentiality: Adhere to GDPR and data protection regulations to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
