Working as an autonomous practitioner, leads and is accountable for the overall nursing performance of the directorate and the achievement of all local, organisational and national targets and standards, working within the Trusts governance framework and the current regulatory & policy requirements. Provide professional, effective and engaging leadership to nursing and other direct care staff within the directorate. Work as a visible, accessible and authoritative presence to whom patients and families can turn to for advice, support and assistance. Post holder will take a lead role in optimising performance of pathways, ensuring key deliverables are met. Post holder has accountability for the quality of nursing care delivered and the patients experience whilst in the directorate.
