At North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, we are expanding our Gastroenterology Services, and we are looking for a dedicated Locum Consultant to join our dynamic, professional, and enthusiastic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact and contribute to the continued success of our services during this period of growth and transformation.
You will be involved in delivering outpatient clinics, performing endoscopy procedures, and providing care for inpatients on the Gastroenterology ward. The ability to participate in an Upper GI bleed on-call service would be desirable.
We are looking for an experienced Gastroenterology clinician with a flexible and adaptable leadership approach to the Consultant role. You will demonstrate a passion for providing high-quality clinical care and be an excellent team player, committed to working collaboratively within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality clinical care through outpatient clinics and endoscopy procedures at all Trust sites.
- Participate in the teaching and supervision of doctors in training.
- Collaborate closely with specialist nurses and Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) within both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Contribute to the multidisciplinary team, ensuring seamless patient care across a range of Gastroenterology conditions.
- Provide support in developing and maintaining high standards of clinical care in the department.
- Participate in an on-call rota and weekend work, as necessary.
