The Deputy Medical Director post is open to anyone with the relevant experience currently working in GGC Board area, this includes independent contractors and locums.
The successful candidate will demonstrate previou s medica l management experience within Primary Care settings and possess stron g influencin g and leadership qualities and t he ability to inspire the confidence and respect of colleagues to lead and deliver on key professional and service objectives.
This role carr ies a n annua l managemen t fe e (currentl y £ 25,000 ) an d a tim e allowan ce equivalent to 5 Progamme Activities which will be discusse d on an indi v idua l basi s t o determin e t h e working pattern for direc t clinica l car e and supporting professional acti v i ties.
In this role, you will provid e professiona l l e adershi p t o staf f wi t hi n primary care, promotin g a cultur e o f con t inuou s qualit y improve m en t an d ensurin g there are robus t system s ar e i n plac e t o monitor , revie w an d improv e clini c al performanc e i n lin e wit h Professiona l standa r ds.
You will also directly influence th e s t rategi c directio n of th e Board and will support th e Board Medical Directo r t o plan high quality, economic, safe, efficient and patient -centre d service s i n complian c e wit h local and national targets.
