Clinical Nurse Specialist

Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated registered nurse with an interest in palliative and end of life care. We are seeking to recruit a full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Swansea Bay University Health Board Specialist Palliative Care Team. The team works across hospital and community sites, and this role will rotate between these settings. Applicants must have significant experience working at Band 5 or above, delivering palliative and end-of-life care. The post holder will be supported to develop skills in holistic clinical assessment and management of patients with palliative and end-of-life needs. The role includes developing interpersonal and communication skills, as it involves difficult conversations with patients and their families. The post also requires building professional relationships across secondary and primary care within Swansea Bay University Health Board.
