Job summary
Our Clerical Officer – Radiology will be responsible for supporting the smooth and efficient running of the Radiology call centre, enabling high standards of care for our service users.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working with Radiologists, Radiographers, and Nurses across the Directorate. The primary role involves supporting the Radiology booking processes for patients referred for diagnostic imaging. There may be a requirement to cover other areas within the Radiology Admin team where necessary. While the responsibility primarily lies with clinical staff, this role can significantly impact patient care.

About your new team and department
Our Radiology Clerical Officers work mainly in two areas:
- Radiology Call Centre (this role), managing patient appointments
- Radiology Office, handling acute services and general administrative tasks
The Call Centre team consists of 10 Clerical Officers and 3 supervisors, managing approximately 75,000 patient appointments annually.
Candidates must be able to work independently, prioritize effectively, and handle complex situations with excellent time management skills.
