The post holder will provide an accessible, person-centred, effective school nursing service for vulnerable school-aged children identified as being at risk and requiring additional support. This will be achieved by working in partnership with children, young people, families, carers, and partner agencies. A focus on prevention, early intervention, and support will prevail, concentrating on the ten priority areas under themes of vulnerable children and families, mental health and wellbeing, and risk-taking behaviours.

The post holder will work within a team but will be responsible for a caseload and function as an autonomous practitioner through in-depth knowledge, expertise, experience, and proficiency.

Applications are invited from first-level registered nurses with a Specialist Community Public Health qualification. Applicants must own a car and possess a full UK driving licence.

The successful applicant will be required to register with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme). This post is not eligible for relocation expenses.
