NHS Tayside Nutrition and Dietetic Service are seeking to recruit an experienced Dietitian to lead our Child Healthy Weight (CHW) Team.

The CHW Team is a dynamic, proactive multi-disciplinary team supported by dietitians, clinical psychology, support workers, and administrative staff. This post offers an opportunity for professional leadership experience and development. There is a strong focus on service improvement and pathway development. The post holder will be professionally and operationally managed by the Nutrition and Dietetic Service Lead responsible for weight management and diabetes.

The CHW team works closely with the Tayside Adult Weight Management and Tayside Nutrition and Dietetic, Community Food and Health Team. This post will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of work in relation to the prevention and early intervention of unhealthy weight across Tayside.

Significant clinical experience in child healthy weight is essential as they will be expected to take a lead on the tier 3 Child Healthy Weight Pathway.

Excellent working relationships exist with colleagues throughout NHS Tayside via the Tayside Nutrition and Dietetic Service and Tayside Public Health Directorate to develop and implement evidence-based practice, receive peer support, and help to progress Continuous Professional Development. There is a commitment to training of dietetic students, medical students, and our partners across health, education, and third sector organisations. There will also be an opportunity to link with national programmes relating to child healthy weight.

Excellent inter-personal and communications skills and the ability to demonstrate good team working as well as being able to work autonomously are required.

You must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

Hours of work are: 22.2 Fixed Term for 12 months.
