Healthcare Support Worker Band 3 Pitlochry Community Hospital GP Unit – NHS Tayside

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a healthcare assistant to work as a member of the nursing team within the GP unit at Pitlochry Community Hospital. The GP unit provides rehabilitation care for older adults and promotes a multidisciplinary, person-centred approach to care to enable patients to meet their optimum level of independence on discharge. You will deliver quality and individualised care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse as part of the wider multidisciplinary team.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality and individualised care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Work as part of a busy GP unit to support rehabilitation and discharge planning for older adults.
  • Contribute to person-centred care by supporting personal and therapeutic goals to enable independence on discharge.

  • Must achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and comply with the Code of Conduct.
