The Domestic Services Department is recruiting for Domestic Supervisors to undertake supervisory responsibilities across Dundee locality in order to deliver the service to the highest standard of cleanliness within the healthcare setting. Domestic Supervisors are responsible for the day-to-day organisation of Domestic Assistants across the site(s) and provision of cleaning services. They will monitor and maintain standards of cleanliness within resource allocation and based on national recommendations such as the NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification.
You Must Have:
- The ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative, which may include lone working.
- Experience in customer services.
- Good verbal/written communication skills and the ability to listen and communicate information effectively.
- The ability to respond constructively to unpredictable situations and cope under pressure.
- Good PC skills to undertake online-based tasks and the ability to train staff members on mandatory online-based training.
- Awareness of H&S and Infection Control issues associated with the role.
- The ability to carry out tasks in a methodical manner.
- Cleaning skills and the ability to follow instructions from relevant management teams and implement organised work methods.
- The ability to carry out mandatory training, both online and face to face.
- A professional approach and understanding of the importance of maintaining and observing confidentiality.
- The ability to learn and adapt, being confident and approachable.
All Domestic Supervisors are required to work throughout NHS Tayside at various sites/areas should there be a requirement to do so. The postholder must have the ability to travel.
