Are you interested in working within the operating theatre and supporting registered nurses to provide the best quality care for our patients? If so, this is an exciting opportunity for you. The theatre department at the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital has 15 theatres and 1 endoscopy room, and is currently expanding. Due to promotion and development of existing staff, we now have opportunities to join our Theatre Assistant Team.

This is an essential role in the effective running of the Peri-operative Department. As a Theatre Assistant, you will support Registered Practitioners in many aspects of direct and indirect clinical care to ensure our patients receive the best care possible. You must be able to commit to an out-of-hours on-call rota for overnight and weekend shifts and be willing to work across 6 days per week.

You should demonstrate a keen interest in working in this area and understand what this entails. You must be willing and able to learn; either already possessing an SVQ in Healthcare or willing to study towards it. You should also be physically fit and possess excellent communication skills. On completion of competencies, you will progress to a band 3.
