Position
This is a permanent, full time position. The shift pattern for this position is Mon-Friday. Dayshift only. Working hours are Monday-Friday 8:00-18:00 over 4 days or 8:30-16:30 over 5 days.
Team and role
We are looking for an enthusiastic staff nurse to join the dynamic Orthopaedic Pre-operative Assessment team within Glasgow Royal Infirmary. We are a team of 6 nurses who assess patientβs anaesthetics risks prior to Orthopaedic surgery. This includes face-to-face and telephone appointments with patients. Pre-op is also part of the wider Orthopaedic Outpatient department, covering the fracture clinic and supported by the Senior Charge Nurse.
Requirements and training
Knowledge in either Orthopaedics or Pre-op is not essential as full training will be provided, however an interest in both or either would be an advantage. If successful, we will welcome you to the team and support your career development. IT skills would be desirable for this post.
