This advert is recruiting Qualified Technicians to the area of Inveraray within the Argyll & Bute area. Inveraray is a charming and historic town on the western shore of Loch Fyne in Argyll, Scotland. Known for its white-washed Georgian buildings, picturesque lochside setting, and rich heritage, Inveraray is one of Scotland’s most scenic and beloved small towns. As the ancestral home of the Clan Campbell, Inveraray offers visitors a perfect mix of history, outdoor beauty, and Scottish culture. Located just 1.5 hours from Glasgow.
The Role: Ambulance Technicians provide immediate care right across Scotland, often to people in their most vulnerable state and in very difficult and challenging environments. As a result, you will be able to show compassion and empathy and be able to deal with the difficult situations that we must respond to. Most importantly, you need to be able to keep calm under pressure, make good decisions and take control.
Essential: The successful applicant for this post must be a Qualified Ambulance Technician and proof of qualification would be required. We also require the candidates to have a valid Emergency Response Driving qualification with C1 Entitlement.
The Person: This is a hugely varied role, each day and each patient is different. As a result, you will need to have excellent interpersonal skills as well as an ability to communicate effectively with a range of different and often difficult circumstances. You will need to demonstrate flexibility and the ability to make effective and safe decisions.
This vacancy would be a rostered Technician vacancy in Inveraray therefore, you would know your shifts in advance.
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
- Candidates will be required to have a C1 Driving category on their current driving licence.
The starting salary for Technicians Band 5 NHS Scotland Pay Banding.
